We’re honoured to share that CCT has won the 2025 ASEAN Outstanding Social Welfare and Development Award — a regional recognition presented by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to organisations demonstrating exceptional service in advancing social welfare and development.
The award is presented only once every two years, recognising outstanding organisations across Southeast Asia.
The announcement was made during the 12th ASEAN Ministerial Meetings on Social Welfare and Development, held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, from 26–29 August 2025.
CCT was nominated by Cambodia’s Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY), acknowledging the triumphant success of our Village Hive model.
The award celebrates CCT’s vision of building resilient communities by shifting from downstream charity to upstream systems change. By strengthening public systems instead of replacing them, CCT is helping to ensure social protection is sustainable, equitable and locally owned, lifting communities out of poverty and reducing dependence on charity.
We’re deeply grateful to MoSVY for their nomination and to ASEAN for recognising the collective effort behind this work. This award belongs to every social worker, community leader, partner and donor who has walked alongside us in reimagining social protection — not as charity, but as systemic change.
