Meun’s Story – From the streets to mechanic

January 2018

We first met Meun in 2010.

He was 10 years old, living on the streets and had never been to school. After turning up at the Cambodian Children’s Trust Satellite Community Centre, we helped to enrol him in public school and ensured he had the nutrition, education healthcare and social support he and his family needed. This consistent ongoing support changed the trajectory of Meun’s life.

He’s now finishing his first-year apprenticeship training to become a motorbike mechanic and working towards a goal of setting up his own business. CCT is behind him all the way.

It’s thanks to consistent ongoing contributions for our monthly supporters that we have been able to provide consistent, ongoing support to kids like Meun, changing the course of their lives and empowering them to achieve self-sustaining futures.
